Prior to his work with United Vein Centers, Dr. Kemmerling owned and operated a vein clinic in Green Bay, Wisconsin where he performed minimally- invasive procedures such as endovenous laser ablation, radiofrequency ablation, microphlebectomy, and sclerotherapy. While he enjoyed operating his own practice, Dr. Kemmerling enjoys being able to focus more on patient care with UVC and less on the business side of running a medical office.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Dr. Kemmerling served as an active-duty general surgeon for several years at the start of his medical career. He has a great deal of surgical experience in both private practice and hospital settings. He served as the Medical Director of Bariatrics at Aurora BayCare Medical Center where he established the Bariatric Center of Excellence. He was on staff at four hospitals in the Green Bay area for two decades.

On top of his own professional achievements in vascular and endovascular surgery, Dr. Kiang has also held a teaching role at Liberty University as an Adjunct Professor of Vascular Surgery. Dr. Esponda started his career as a vascular specialist 10 years ago. “I choose to specialize in the vascular disease processes to optimize outcomes and improve a patient’s quality of life”. He formally trained in vascular medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and later further specialized in surgical phlebology at the New York University School of Medicine.
Dr. Esponda is a published author of scientific literature and has held successful academic positions as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine and Clinical Instructor at New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Esponda has since dedicated himself to the care of vascular pathologies in an outpatient setting.

Dr. Madsen received his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences as well as University of Nevada School of Medicine. He then completed his Vascular Surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine.

While earning his M.B.A from Auburn University, Dr. Saxena owned and operated a multi-provider cardiology practice in Alabama – including the state’s only outpatient cardiac catheterization lab.

Following residency, Dr. Ali N. Wazni completed additional training in the advanced treatment of venous disorders and varicose veins, including endovenous laser ablation (EVLA), Venefit™ endovenous radiofrequency ablation (RFA) catheter and ClosureRFS™, ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, and ambulatory phlebectomy. With multiple scholarships and honors, she attended Rice University for her undergraduate studies, followed by medical studies at Barry University. She completed her internship and residency training at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Before joining United Vein Centers, Dr. Lam started the wound and hyperbaric program as the medical director of Hyper Healing Wound Clinics in Tampa. She has also worked for Physicians Regional Hospitals, specializing in inpatient wound care, hyperbaric medicine, and reconstructive wound surgery as well as outpatient wound and burn care at the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine in Naples, FL.
Dr. Lam has an extensive history of clinical research with multiple publications, poster presentations, and clinical trials dating back to her residency training at Yale. Her research work has included “superbug” infection clinical drug trials with Pfizer and Wyeth to clinical research in clonal amplification (PCR) and parallel sequencing (NGS) of bacteria in chronic wounds. She is a frequent lecturer and clinical trainer on various wound management techniques.

Dr. Raikar received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska and went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. Dr. Lan Raikar then continued her medical training at the prestigious Mayo Clinic of College of Medicine where she performed extensive research in both General and Cardiac Surgery. “To be a surgeon requires incredible precision and dexterity. That is the skillset that I bring to UVC”, says Dr. Raikar.
