- Swelling — Lymphedema can cause serious swelling in the body because the fluids that would typically be drained through the lymph nodes become trapped in the limbs. This retention of fluid can cause swelling that can be visibly noticeable and even painful or uncomfortable.
- Heaviness — Another sensation related to lymphedema pain is heaviness. Some people may not report pain from their lymphedema, but rather a heaviness in the affected limbs.
- Restlessness — Restlessness is another feeling many lymphedema patients report having. Restless leg syndrome is frequently associated with lymphedema patients.
- Aching, tingling, numbness — Aching, tingling and numbness are also associated with lymphedema as well. Any throbbing, pins and needles, and lack of feeling can be symptoms of this condition.
- Tightness — Tightness is another sensation associated with lymphedema pain. For some, tightness can feel painful and for others, it may just be uncomfortable.
