Treatments for varicose veins

Endovenous Laser

Endovenous laser treatment (EVLT) uses lasers that are guided by an ultrasound. The procedure can be done in the office under local anesthesia and usually takes around 45 minutes to perform.

Ambulatory Phlebectomy

A mini-phlebectomy or an ambulatory phlebectomy treats bulging varicose veins by removing the veins through a tiny incision made above the vein. Ambulatory phlebectomy is an outpatient procedure and is done in office. This procedure is best for cosmetic results and does not cause much discomfort. It may be used alongside other treatment methods.

Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy

Ultrasound guided sclerotherapy a safe, highly effective treatment for problematic veins. This procedure is used to treat the deeper veins that are not visible on the surface, as well as the large, superficial veins that do not respond to other forms of treatment. At United Vein Centers, our trained and expert-level physicians use ultrasound guidance to find and then inject an FDA-approved solution into the vein. The solution then causes the walls of the vein to cave in and dissolve into the body.
