Weak, Swollen Legs Became A Problem
Robert K. came to United Vein & Vascular Centers in Duluth after experiencing significant swelling, leg weakness, and persistent fluid leakage from his legs. As his symptoms progressed, they began affecting both his mobility and his ability to carry out everyday responsibilities.
After his evaluation, Robert underwent cyanoacrylate closure (CAC), also referred to as VenaSeal™, a minimally invasive vein procedure designed to improve circulation and reduce vein-related symptoms.
Since receiving treatment, Robert has noticed meaningful changes in his condition. He shared that the fluid leakage has almost completely resolved and his legs feel stronger. Although he continues to experience some swelling, he estimates that it has decreased by about one-third.
These improvements have made an important difference in his daily life. As his wife’s primary caregiver, Robert explained that moving more easily has helped him continue supporting her while feeling steadier and more capable.
Robert also spoke highly of his experience with the care team, describing every visit as something he genuinely looked forward to. He appreciated the welcoming atmosphere the staff created throughout the process.
For others considering treatment, Robert encourages scheduling a vein screening. He shared that before coming to UVVC, he thought his only option was wearing compression stockings, which he found difficult to use. Learning that minimally invasive procedures could help improve his symptoms gave him another path forward, and he believes it made a meaningful difference in his quality of life.
