At United Vein & Vascular Centers (UVVC), supporting the communities we serve means recognizing the individuals who make a meaningful impact every day. Through our ongoing partnership with Brenham Independent School District, we’re proud to highlight educators whose dedication helps students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Sponsored by UVVC and Dr. Srinivas Rao, Medical Director of our Clear Lake clinic, the Teacher of the Month and Paraprofessional of the Month program celebrates educators during the school year as a way to say thank you for the work that often happens quietly behind the scenes.
For Dr. Rao, this partnership reflects his firsthand experience caring for educators and understanding the physical demands of their work. Recognizing Brenham ISD teachers and paraprofessionals is one way he and UVVC give back to those who give so much to their school communities.
This January, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on Alton Elementary School, honoring two individuals whose commitment, positivity, and leadership make a lasting difference on their campus.
January Paraprofessional of the Month: Mrs. Tameka Kelly

Mrs. Tameka Kelly brings warmth and energy to Alton Elementary from the moment students walk through the doors. As one of the first faces students see each morning, she creates a welcoming environment with cheerful greetings, upbeat music, and the occasional mini dance party that helps set a positive tone for the day.
In the classroom, Mrs. Kelly provides strong, consistent support while maintaining high expectations, helping to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed. Her enthusiasm, dedication, and genuine care for students are evident in everything she does, making her an essential part of the Alton Elementary team.
We’re grateful for the joy, structure, and heart Mrs. Kelly brings to campus, and we’re proud to recognize her with this well-deserved honor.
January Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Rachel Church

Mrs. Rachel Church has made an exceptional impact at Alton Elementary by consistently supporting both students and staff throughout the school year. Her deep knowledge, adaptability, and willingness to step in wherever she’s needed make her a trusted and valued presence on campus.
Known for her efficiency, humility, and strong work ethic, Mrs. Church often goes above and beyond without seeking recognition. She is always ready to assist colleagues, offer guidance, or take on additional responsibilities to ensure the school runs smoothly. Her dedication to continuous learning and professional growth, paired with her positive attitude, makes her a true role model within the Alton Elementary community.
Congratulations, Mrs. Church, and thank you for the dedication you bring to your students and colleagues each day.
