At United Vein & Vascular Centers (UVVC), supporting the communities we serve means recognizing the individuals who make a meaningful impact every day. Through our ongoing partnership with Brenham Independent School District, we’re proud to highlight educators whose dedication helps students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Sponsored by UVVC and Dr. Srinivas Rao, Medical Director of our Clear Lake clinic, the Teacher of the Month and Paraprofessional of the Month program celebrates educators during the school year as a way to say thank you for the work that often happens quietly behind the scenes.
For Dr. Rao, this partnership reflects his firsthand experience caring for educators and understanding the physical demands of their work. Recognizing Brenham ISD teachers and paraprofessionals is one way he and UVVC give back to those who give so much to their school communities.
This February, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on Brenham Elementary School, honoring two individuals whose commitment, positivity, and leadership make a lasting difference on their campus.
February Paraprofessional of the Month: Mr. Derrick Snoddy
Mr. Derrick Snoddy is known throughout Brenham Elementary for the supportive and dependable presence he brings to campus each day. With a calm demeanor and a consistently positive attitude, he helps foster an environment where students feel comfortable, respected, and encouraged.
His ability to build strong relationships with both students and staff makes him a valued member of the school community. Mr. Snoddy’s patience, kindness, and steady leadership help create a space where students can grow not only academically but also personally.
By modeling the character and integrity Brenham Elementary hopes to instill in every learner, Mr. Snoddy plays an important role in the culture of the school.
Congratulations, Mr. Snoddy, and thank you for the impact you make in the lives of Brenham Elementary students each day.

February Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Kayla Martinez

As Brenham Elementary’s STEAM teacher, Mrs. Kayla Martinez inspires curiosity and creativity in her students through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Her classroom encourages exploration, helping students develop confidence as they experiment, ask questions, and discover new ideas.
Mrs. Martinez’s enthusiasm for teaching is evident in the way she connects with her students and brings energy to every lesson. By making learning interactive and exciting, she helps spark imagination while building a strong foundation in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Martinez is known for her collaborative spirit and willingness to support her colleagues whenever needed. Her teamwork and dedication contribute to a positive and supportive atmosphere throughout the school.
Congratulations, Mrs. Martinez, and thank you for the enthusiasm and creativity you bring to Brenham Elementary every day.
