Celebrating Excellence in Education: Brenham ISD’s November Teacher & Paraprofessional of the Month

By United Vein & Vascular Centers®

At United Vein & Vascular Centers (UVVC), giving back to the communities we serve is at the heart of our mission. For nearly four years, we have proudly partnered with Brenham Independent School District to recognize the remarkable educators who shape the lives of Brenham’s students every day.

Through this partnership, UVVC and Dr. Srinivas Rao, Medical Director of our Clear Lake clinic, sponsor monthly awards for Teacher of the Month and Paraprofessional of the Month, presented from September–November and January–April. Each honoree receives a token of gratitude for the extraordinary work they do.

Dr. Rao, who has cared for many local teachers throughout his practice, shares a strong connection with this initiative. He often notes how much time teachers spend on their feet, an aspect of the profession that many don’t realize can take a toll on vein health. Supporting Brenham’s educators through this program is one meaningful way he and UVVC can give back to those who devote so much to the community’s youth.

This month, we are honored to highlight Brenham High School’s November award recipients, whose dedication truly exemplifies excellence in education.

Mrs. Loretta Kapchinski’s commitment to Brenham High School is nothing short of remarkable. She manages transcripts, registration, withdrawals, scholarships, and grades with accuracy, care, and unwavering attention to detail. Her cheerful personality and constant encouragement brighten the campus daily.

Her peers describe her dedication as “immeasurable”—a fitting tribute to someone who ensures that so much runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Congratulations, Mrs. Kapchinski, and thank you for all you do.

November Teacher of the Month: Mrs. Kari Prihoda

Mrs. Kari Prihoda pours her heart into Brenham High School every day. Known for her willingness to jump in wherever she’s needed, Mrs. Prihoda consistently puts students and colleagues first, both inside and outside the classroom.

Her energy, compassion, and leadership help make BHS a stronger, more supportive community. This recognition celebrates not only her daily contributions but also the countless unseen moments that truly define a great educator.

Congratulations, Mrs. Prihoda, your work makes a lasting difference.
