Dr. Obi Okoye is a venous and lymphatic medicine specialist with extensive experience treating chronic venous disease through advanced, minimally invasive procedures. He is dedicated to helping patients find lasting relief from vein disease while improving their comfort, mobility, and overall quality of life. His approach combines surgical expertise with compassionate, individualized care focused on achieving meaningful outcomes.


Dr. Okoye earned his medical degree from the University of Nigeria College of Medicine before completing postgraduate surgical training through the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He continued his training in the United States with a trauma research fellowship at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, followed by a general surgery internship at Berkshire Medical Center and a general surgery residency at Saint Louis University Hospital.


Prior to joining United Vein & Vascular Centers, Dr. Okoye practiced as a physician specializing in vein care and previously treated patients in wound care, providing comprehensive management for chronic wounds and complex vascular-related conditions. His background in general surgery, wound care, and phlebology allows him to deliver personalized treatment plans using minimally invasive techniques that help patients return to their daily activities with less discomfort and recovery time.


In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Okoye has made significant contributions to surgical research, authoring more than 40 peer-reviewed publications focused on trauma surgery, vascular disease, surgical outcomes, and patient safety. His commitment to advancing medical knowledge reflects his dedication to providing patients with evidence-based care informed by the latest innovations in medicine.
