JAMES HUBERT, D.O.
Dr. James Hubert is a board-certified vascular surgeon and vein specialist with more than 30 years of experience caring for patients with complex vascular disease, venous insufficiency, and advanced wounds. He specializes in minimally invasive, evidence-based treatments designed to restore circulation, improve healing, and enhance quality of life.
Raised by his maternal grandparents, Dr. Hubert was inspired to pursue medicine by his grandfather, a primary care physician, who instilled in him the importance of education, compassion, and service. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at OhioHealth Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, with additional surgical training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Ingham Regional Medical Center (now McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital). He also holds a Master of Science in Human Physiology from the University of Akron and a Master of Public Health in Policy and Administration from Kent State University.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Hubert has built and led surgical practices, served as Chief of Surgery, and advanced public health initiatives as both County Health Commissioner and County Coroner in Ohio. He has extensive expertise in hyperbaric medicine and wound care, with certifications in both fields, and has treated a wide range of patients with advanced vascular and wound conditions.
