JORDAN GARRISON, M.D., DABVLM
Dr. Jordan Garrison, Senior Regional Medical Director at United Vein & Vascular Centers, is a board-certified general surgeon with more than 40 years of experience in surgical leadership and the treatment of venous disease. He is dedicated to helping patients improve their health and quality of life through advanced, minimally invasive vein treatments while delivering compassionate, individualized care built on trust, education, and shared decision-making.
Dr. Garrison earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers New Jersey Medical School) after completing his undergraduate studies at Lehigh University. He completed his general surgery residency at UMDNJ and later pursued fellowship training in bariatric surgery through the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Throughout his career, he has combined extensive surgical expertise with a passion for innovation, education, and clinical leadership.
Over the course of his distinguished career, Dr. Garrison has served in numerous leadership and academic roles, including Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery, Director of Bariatric Surgery, and Medical Director within a national vein organization serving more than 40 clinics nationwide. His leadership experience spans physician education, clinical quality, compliance, coding and billing, operational oversight, and the continued advancement of evidence-based venous care. He has also spent the past decade focusing exclusively on the diagnosis and treatment of chronic venous disease using minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. Garrison’s approach to patient care begins with listening. He believes every patient deserves to be heard, respected, and actively involved in developing a treatment plan that reflects their individual goals and expectations. He emphasizes honest communication, compassionate care, and recognizes that no two patients are alike. A lifelong learner and dedicated mentor, he remains committed to advancing his knowledge while helping educate the next generation of physicians and healthcare professionals.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Garrison is actively involved in mentorship and philanthropy and serves on the Board of Directors for WBGO, one of the nation’s premier jazz radio stations. He believes leadership extends beyond the clinic through service to the community and the development of future healthcare professionals.
