LIZA THALHEIMER, M.D.

Dr. Liza Thalheimer is a board-certified surgeon and vein specialist who brings a passion for helping her patients to the UVVC team. Dr. Thalheimer earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed her residency at West Virginia University Charleston Medical Center, serving as chief resident.

Dr. Thalheimer values building strong relationships with her patients and prides herself on her compassionate care. She believes that treating patients as individuals is essential and emphasizes the importance of educating them about vein disease and treatment options in a clear and understandable manner. As she states, “Patient care is the most important aspect of medicine,” and “The well-being of each patient is my top priority.”
