DAVID PIAZZA, M.D.

Dr. David Piazza is a board-certified general surgeon with more than 30 years of experience providing comprehensive surgical care. Throughout his career, he has combined extensive surgical expertise with a commitment to patient safety, individualized treatment, and high-quality outcomes.

Dr. Piazza earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Benedictine University and his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency through the University of Illinois College of Medicine Chicago, followed by fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Carle Foundation Hospital.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Piazza has cared for patients across hospital and surgical settings, bringing decades of experience to the evaluation and treatment of complex conditions. He has also held significant medical staff leadership positions, including Medical Staff President and Trauma Director, reflecting his longstanding commitment to clinical excellence and collaborative patient care.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Piazza has contributed to surgical research and education through national presentations and peer-reviewed publications. His experience with both traditional and advanced surgical techniques provides a strong foundation for delivering thoughtful, precise care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
