Finding Improvement After Ongoing Leg and Foot Discomfort
For Bobby M., ongoing leg and foot symptoms were difficult to live with. Pain in both legs and feet, along with aching, numbness, and swelling, prompted him to seek care. While his legs were especially bothersome at first, discomfort in his feet continued to be a major concern.
Bobby came to United Vein & Vascular Centers in Downers Grove to better understand what was causing his symptoms and to begin treatment. After a few months of care, he began to feel noticeably better, particularly in his legs, which have improved significantly.
Because Bobby is disabled and spends most of his time at home, his daily activities are limited. Still, the reduction in leg pain has made a meaningful difference in how he feels day to day. While his leg symptoms have improved, he continues to experience issues in his feet and is planning to return for additional testing, including an ultrasound, to further evaluate and address those concerns.
Bobby describes his experience with the care team as positive and says he would encourage others who are unsure to come in and speak with the doctor. He appreciated having the opportunity to address his symptoms at his own pace and plans to continue his care when he’s ready.
Why His Story Matters

- Improvement may occur gradually over time with proper evaluation and treatment
- Ongoing symptoms may require follow-up testing to guide next steps in care
